Do I have to leave Booking.com and Airbnb?

No, and you shouldn’t. Staywarden doesn’t replace the channels — it sits on top of them. Bookings arrive on their own and the commission shows up as an expense, so you can see what each channel actually costs you instead of guessing.

Do messages from Booking.com and Airbnb need WhatsApp?

No. Messages from Booking.com and Airbnb, and reviews from your channels, are read and answered in Staywarden on every plan, without WhatsApp. WhatsApp on your own number, the six automatic messages and the Warden’s reply drafts come with Complete — and Meta bills its template messages to your own WhatsApp account, not to Staywarden.

What happens the day I want to leave?

You take everything in one file: bookings, payments, invoices, expenses, passports, reviews, discount codes, WhatsApp messages, deleted bookings and the configuration. Keys are left out — they are secrets, not data. No retention call, no half-finished export. A system you can’t leave isn’t a system, it’s a trap.

How do I cancel?

Whenever you want, in Settings › Plan and data › Subscription. Cancel during the 7 days before the first payment and nothing is charged. Cancel later and there are no more charges; your plan runs to the end of the month you already paid for. No lock-in, no exit fee.

How do I pay, and in which currency?

By card or Revolut Pay, on Revolut’s secure payment page — Staywarden never sees your card details. Your subscription renews by itself every month, in US dollars, plus tax where it applies. We email you before each charge and send you a receipt after it.

Do I need good internet?

It was built for a place with no signal inside the room. Screens load on a weak connection, the team sees its day on the phone from the lodge’s team page, and nothing depends on the guest having data.

What if my team doesn’t use a computer?

Each person gets an email invitation to their own address, chooses a password, and signs in to their own day on the lodge’s team page. They see today and the week ahead, and tick off each task; you see who did it and when. On the same page they see the note and checklist you left on their tasks and, if they work by the hour, start and stop their own timer. A manager or your accountant can get the panel instead, with only the areas you choose. Everyone sees only their own part, and that is decided on the server: what isn’t yours never reaches your screen.

Can I invoice my guests?

Yes, on the Complete plan: a PDF invoice for every finished stay, with your company details, your VAT rate and numbering that never skips. A mistake is fixed with a credit note, and your accountant gets each month as one file.

Can guests pay me by card?

Yes, on Complete — on your own booking page, in the booking calendar on the website you already have, and in the guest app. You need your own Stripe account: the money goes straight into it and never passes through Staywarden.

What do you need from me to start?

Your calendar and fifteen minutes to start; a day to be up and running on the channels. For card payments you connect your own Stripe account, and for invoices you fill in your company details once. Everything else is already running in the meantime.

Is there two-step sign-in?

Not yet. You can sign in with Google instead of a password, and then your Google account’s own protection applies.

Can my website run on my own domain?

Not yet for the website Staywarden makes for you: it lives at your-lodge.staywarden.com. If you already have your own website, you keep it — and put your booking calendar on it (next question).

I already have a website. Can guests book on it?

Yes, on Complete. One line of code — you copy it in Settings → Website — puts your booking calendar on your site: live availability and prices, the room and the guest’s details; the card is paid on Stripe’s secure page, straight into your own Stripe account, and the guest comes back to your site. It works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or a site your designer built.

Does it work for a hotel, not just cabins?

Yes. Room types, several rates and a team with their own sign-ins work the same with two cabins or a full hotel. Above thirty rooms, we set it up with you, and you get a price for your place.

What can the Warden do on its own?

Ask in your own words and it does the work: reports, price changes, moving and changing bookings, registering payments, tasks for the team, invitations and your hotel or lodge settings — and it drafts replies to your guests. Anything that reaches a guest, a channel or your money comes as a card with before → after and waits for your Confirm. It never files an invoice: it prepares it, and you press “Issue”. Each lodge has 200 AI requests a day.

Can I try it first?

Yes. Every new hotel or lodge gets Complete free while you set up, for up to 30 days and with no card. When every other line in First steps is green, you pick Essential or Complete and add a card or Revolut Pay on Revolut’s secure payment page. The first payment is 7 days later: until then you have Complete and nothing is charged, and if you cancel in those days, you are never charged. Everything you set up stays.

Every room, handled.
